Recovery: Day 92

The surgeon removed the drain this morning. And I didn't pass out! Even though it felt a bit like that scene from Braveheart when the Mel Gibson character is eviscerated. A involuntary knee to chest jerk, some cold compresses, and we were on our way...to the grocery store.

Now, faithful readers will know, I think going grocery shopping with My Beloved is a romantic outing. I don't know why. It's such a couple-y thing to do, maybe? He hates it. In fact, I bartered away 3/4 of all my household chores in exchange for the task of weekly grocery shopping. He hates it that much. And yet, he took me after our appointment. Some kids might get a lollipop; I get grocery shopping. *swoon*

Since some have asked, we bought trip insurance for our journey to Spain. We got caught in Portland one year with a medical emergency, missed the flight home, and took a bath on the revised tickets ($250 per ticket change fee plus the difference in fare plus fees). For Spain, It cost $88 to insure $1600+ in travel plans. What a bargain, no?!
