Hard Worker

Being mentally out of the office for a week in prep for DIA and then physically out of the office for a week while attending the conference has left a deep pile of work on my desk.  One of the joys of working around a big holiday is that 1) things slow down so it's easier to get caught up 2) usually there are few people around.

Of course, that is also the case if you just stay at the office late enough.  To wit, me at 7:45PM...

...and again when I finally left the office on Tuesday at 9:00PM

My Beloved encourages me to always send an email when leaving so my boss knows just how late I was burning the oil.  Of course, my boss is online at 3am, so she would not be impressed by this, but, still, it is a good practice.
