The view from the end of my driveway. Every neighborhood has one! Last weekend, when he got the music and light synchronizer to work, he was excitedly shouting "It's alive! It's alive!" while my girlfriend neighbor and I shouted our congratulations and I inwardly rolled my eyes. Christmas can't be all starched white collars and holy angels. Thank jeebus for color!

Tis the Season
If there's one song that gets my Christmas veins flowing, it's Handel's Messiah. Check out this flash mob performance last month at the CC Macy's!
We went this evening to see a community performance at a local church (a friend is in the choir). Every year I find the holiday season sneaks up on me and I haven't had a chance to shift mental gears and get into the spirit. When he invited My Beloved and I to the concert, I was thrilled at the opportunity. This year, for sure, I'll be all bells and garlanded!
The other song that gets my toes Kris Kingle-ing is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sung by Judy Garland, from Meet Me in St. Louis. I watched this movie on WHYY with Patrick Stoner (crush!) who helped set the stage by explaining this was a WWII movie. Think about that while you watch/listen to this song. It'll send a chill up your spine, with all the double meaning.
Let there, please, be peace on Earth!
